Municipal

The easiest way to make E-Bike charging safe

Safe, sustainable e-bike charging in public spaces.

E-bike charging, in the open

Municipal parks can offer e-bike charging without leaving outlets defenseless against high-load misuse. Aminiti caps amperage to e-bike-friendly limits and authorizes only the right users.

Cap amperage so only e-bikes and small devices can draw power.

Set time limits to keep outlets cycling between riders.

Charge a small fee per session, or include charging with a park pass.

Low-amp outlets, bikes only

Aminiti turns outlets into monitored, managed charging points, so charging happens during approved hours, by authorized users, with optional fees. Set amperage limits so only e-bikes and small devices can draw power, not EVs and space heaters.

Features

How Aminiti helps

Flexible Pay-per-use

Collect fees per session or by duration with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or most credit cards. Enable free access for staff or registered users.

Time Limits

Cap session duration so equipment doesn't get left on, reducing waste and unauthorized use.

Current Limits

Set amperage limits that stop sessions if a user draws more amps than you're willing to provide. This lets you provide power for low-current electronic devices while making the outlet unusable for EV charging and other high-current equipment.

Authorized Use Only

Restrict access to approved users, staff, and community members. Aminiti devices hide away, with no outside keypads or controls to wear out or be vandalized.

Forms & Waivers

Require users to provide a signed acknowledgement, safety waiver, or custom form before a session can start. Protects you legally and communicates expectations to every user.

User Proximity Required

Patent-pending technology ensures users are near the amenity when starting or stopping a session, preventing nuisance and unsafe activation by remote attackers.

Hardware

Installation options

Aminiti is flexible — here are just a few ways to integrate our hardware

Q16
Q16PLUG-INEffort: EASY

Add an Aminiti Q16 inline relay. For tamper-resistance, use a safety-certified, lockable in-use cover to fully enclose the Q16 and a short, right-angle extension cord to the exterior of the cover. The outlet remains accessible but protected, requiring no rewiring.

KO1
KO1PLUG-INEffort: EASY

In conjunction with an Aminiti Q16 inline outlet manager, add an Aminiti Keepout Panel for easy access and tamper resistance.

S16
S16WIRE-INEffort: PRO

Use the Aminiti S16 inline relay. Add a junction box to enclose the S16 device if existing boxes are not suitable. For higher-power outlets and EVSEs, use the Aminiti S16 to control a contactor relay.

Implementation

  1. 1

Install an Aminiti device in-line with each outlet you wish to protect.

    Step 1
  2. 2

Use the Aminiti web app to create QR signage to enable users to activate the outlet. (Your users can still use the Aminiti app to activate the outlet without a QR code.)

    Step 2
  3. 3

Configure your station using the Aminiti app on the web or on your mobile device.

Flexible Pay-per-use

Flexible Pay-per-use

Set a per-session price or a per-minute rate, then choose which payment methods to accept — Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit card. Flip the Free for approved users switch to keep charging complimentary for residents you've added by email.

Time Limits

Time Limits

Pick a maximum session length so an outlet never gets left on overnight. Riders see the countdown in the Aminiti app and can extend in the app if a top-up needs more time.

Current Limits

Current Limits

Choose an amperage ceiling for the outlet. If someone plugs in an EV charger, space heater, or other load heavier than an e-bike, Aminiti ends the session — keeping the outlet dedicated to e-bike charging instead of the high-draw equipment you'd rather not power.
